Honour a loved one on Hill 112
The Memorial Foundation is proud to be able to offer relatives, comrades and friends of those who fought in the service of their country in the fierce battles for Hill 112 and the Odon Valley in the summer of 1944 a unique opportunity to honour the fallen.
The Foundation has sourced high quality memorial plaques that can be purchased to mark the bravery and sacrifice of the many men who fought bravely for this strategic viewpoint outside Caen as the Allies marched through Normandy after the D-Day landings. The Foundation is keen to see relatives and friends honour all those who fought, not just those who lost their lives in the ultimate sacrifice.
The plaques are individually inscribed to order and, once completed, will be placed by the Foundation amongst the 112 trees in the Avenue of Remembrance at what is now a haven of peace cared for by the Odon Cote 112 Association, The Hill 112 Memorial Foundation’s partners in France. Please note that individuals and groups are not permitted to place their own plaques.
Plaques cost £210.00 with white lettering or £225.00 with poppies.

Every year on Hill 112 on June 5th a small service is held to remember the veterans who gave the ultimate sacrifice in 1944 and veteran soldiers who fought on the Hill but have since died. We have many supporters arrive and we are often supported by Deep Respect another organisation in France who has supported our work in Normandy and for my father.
In July the Sunday nearest the 10th of July another service is held to remember and honour the fallen and the start of Operation Jupiter 10-11th July (one of a few operations during the battle for Hill 112). We often retire to the local Salle Des Fetes to share a glass to honour and celebrate our fallen heroes. Our patron HRH Duke of Edinburgh attends all major anniversaries of the service in July
